ANNETTE K. HIPONA
Age: 44
Occupation: School Board Trustee

I and my husband of 25 years are first-generation Americans and lifetime Daly City residents. With our three adult children, we're a close-knit, multi-ethnic family of German, Filipino, and Mexican heritage.

As an elected School Board Member and community activist, I am a champion of open government, a vigilant watchdog against conflict of interest, and an experienced guardian of our limited tax dollars.

The incumbents gave a multi-million dollar sweetheart deal to a developer during our budget crisis. Top city staff compromises ethics by being involved in this election. I'm the only candidate to publicly refuse campaign support from developers and Daly City employees.

I'm an outspoken advocate for preserving our neighborhood quality of life, protecting homes and businesses from eminent domain seizures, and insisting on equal treatment for all neighborhoods.

I am the only candidate endorsed by our next State Senator Leland Yee and reform Councilmember Judith Christensen.

I am eager to roll up my sleeves and work together to create a better Daly City. You will always know who I am and what I stand for. I'm an independent voice that can't be bought by special interests.

I will never forget that I represent you, the people of Daly City.
